Not
just another rap group entering the scene. The
talents of the HITMAKERZ are a genuine lineup
of skillfully blending elements of distinctive
rap melodies, fiery R&B riffs and a versatile
sound that's already stirring the fans in Boston,
Massachusetts
Their
story begins about three years ago. After working
on solo projects for four years, Blanco, originally
from the Bronx, New York approached his cousin
Lou Armstrong about putting their talents together.
Lou who also had experience at being a solo artist,
saw their potential and a partnership was formed.
Soon after forces with Madame Cruz and Banks,
they uncovered that individually they all had
a passion for writing, singing and producing.
They quickly discovered that collectively they
had the musical skill and style that would earn
them a spot among the elite of the hip hop industry.
It was as if destiny had brought them all to the
right place at the right time.
In
addition to their musical skills, the HITMAKERZ
also produce their own music and branched out
into the world of film. The independent movie
"Power Move Sisters" was recently completed
in February 2002. The film takes a candid look
at the wild life of two sisters trying to make
it in a sometimes cold and brutal world.....
"All Shamika ever wanted was the love of
a good man and to start a business with her sister
Shante. Unfortunately, Shante had other plans.
Finding herself on the side of Nikki, the hoods
most ruthless/con artist. The harder Shamika tries
to walk away, the deeper Shante drags her in...."
This testifying portrayal of life on the streets
was a joint collaboration with Roberson Brothers
Films and HITMAKERZ Entertainment. The HITMAKERZ
diverse talent with both film and music features
a soundtrack to the movie funded, written and
produced by this group of talented young men.
Over the last three years, this emerging rap team
has evolved into one of rap's newest phenomena's
with a wave of popularity among college crowds
and radio stations. Their mix of funky ballads
with club banging baselines make the HITMAKERZ
unique musical flow destined to move from the
streets to the radio. Certain members of this
rap group already have road experience with such
artists as Foxy Brown and the one and only Kid
Capri. Their electrifying performances have made
them a favorite at one of Boston's biggest events,
The Annual Puerto Rican Festival. In addition,
Boston fans can already hear promos of the group
on airwaves such as HOT 97.7 and it seems like
they've started a stir and Chubby Chubb and China
Doll both seem to agree that this group is HOT!
This group has exploded in the last three years
and is reaching new levels of popularity each
day. They have risen to the top in just a short
time and have an instantly recognizable style
that will keep their hip hop followers close by.
In short, their name says it all and the HITMAKERZ
are just getting started.
